offlineMemberMy ex broke up with me 2 weeks ago, on my birthday. He had taken me for a fancy meal and I thought we'd had a really nice evening, but on the walk home, he suddenly became really quiet. I asked if he was ok and it all came tumbling out.
He said "I love you, but I think I need to split from you."
I was shocked at the time, spent the first week staying friendly, but something finally flipped in me yesterday. How could we just carry on now pretendng nothing had happened?
We'd been seeing each other for 11 months, we'd talked about moving in together in the future, he'd even given me the keys to his flat the week before all this. WE had had mini split ups before over occaisonal but very explosive arguements. Always insitgated by him when he was drunk.
I still care for him, but said he is tired of fighting with me, and is worried about the future. Such as if we encountered financial troubles etc. he doesn't want us to be fighting in front of our kids and he's not sure about marrying me etc. I guess I should be pleased he's thinking seriously about our future instead of pretending to commit, but it's still a blow ot the chest when any break up happens.
Anyway, I know I miss him like hell right now, but equally don't know if I would even want to get back togther. I'm just hoping this forum will help me move on and get on with my life in apositive way.

Now iheardyoulooking's "old" dead relationship needs a proper burial, and a headstone of course!
